2014 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 EPS in Mumbai

Polaris is following in the footsteps of Arctic Cat and Can-Am with the introduction of its own 1000-class ATV – the 2014 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 EPS.

According to Polaris, the Scrambler XP 1000 EPS has the highest horsepower, fastest acceleration, highest ground clearance and longest suspension travel of any big bore ATV.

Featuring a fuel injected 952cc engine based off the 850cc V-Twin found in the Scrambler XP 850 and Sportsman XP 850, Polaris boasts the new Scrambler XP 1000 EPS churns out an eye-popping 89 horsepower. As well, Polaris says the 270-degree offset crankshaft and dual balance shafts help the Scrambler produce smooth, vibration-free power. A new dual exhaust system is designed to allow the engine to breathe deep for maximum power.

Handling is aided by Fox Podium X 2.0 compression adjustable shocks at all four corners controlling 9.0 inches of travel up front and 10.25 in the rear. The suspension design is dual A-arms front and rear.

As the name implies, Polaris' electronic power steering (EPS) comes standard. Other features include matte black cast aluminum wheels, 14-inch Carlisle tires, hand guards, digital gauge cluster, custom seat, dual LED headlights and White Lightning paint.

It's pretty clear Polaris is targeting the Can-Am Renegade 1000 X xc with the new big bore Scrambler XP 1000 EPS. The Renegade was essentially the lone big bore Sport/Utility 4x4 until the Scrambler XP 850 was introduced last year to compete with the Renegade 800R. U.S. Pricing for the Scrambler 1000 comes in at $13,299 - $250 less than the Can-Am Renegade 1000 X xc.

You can expect to see the PolarisScrambler XP 1000 EPS in Mumbai dealerships in January of 2014.
